has purchased 46 acres in Copeland Industrial Park in Hampton, and the company plans to develop two large warehouse sites to serve the growing number of companies using the Port of Hampton Roads.
Sharper Image shipping locally
stores and customers on the East Coast are now getting its cutting-edge gadgets from a distribution center in Chesterfield County. San Francisco-based Sharper Image opened a 113,000-square-foot warehouse in early November and began shipping products from there 10 days later. This is the chain's first East Coast distribution center.
Construction to Start on 506,000 sq. ft.
announced today that it will start construction on an additional 506,000 sq. ft. of warehouse and distribution space to be located in three new buildings at the Enterchange at Walthall project in Chesterfield County, VA.
Governor Gilmore Announces Dupont Expansion
- Governor Jim Gilmore today announced that DuPont will consolidate its area warehouse operations in Chesterfield County. DuPont has contracted with Devon USA, through C.B. Richard Ellis, to invest $30 million to build a new warehousing and logistics center.

USF Logistics
USF Logistics has selected the Enterchange at Walthall project as the location for a new regional warehouse & distribution facility. The decision follows an extensive site-selection process which considered locations in several Virginia markets.
Kane 3PL
, a third party logistics support and services company, will be moving into 36,336 square feet of the Enterchange - Building B at the Walthall Enterchange of I-95. Kane 3PL is part of the Kane Companies, providing total office solutions for the business community. Other Kane companies include Office Movers Inc., Office Archives, Kane Office Furniture, and Offices Installers, Inc.
DuPont Logistics Center
has announced it will consolidate its Richmond area warehouse operations in Chesterfield County. DuPont has contracted with Devon USA, through C.B. Richard Ellis, to invest $30 million to build a new warehousing and logistics center. Devon will build two 400,000-square-foot buildings on the site located on Bellwood Road adjacent to DuPont's James River Plant.
The Antioch Company
celebrated its grand opening on December 15, 2000, in the Enterchange at Walthall development. The facility produces products for St. Cloud, Minn.-based Creative Memories, a subsidiary of The Antioch Company of Yellow Springs, Ohio.
Rotary Corporation
announced it would open a new Mid-Atlantic Distribution Center in Chesterfield County, VA. The new Distribution Center will open February 2001, and will be located at I-95/Walthall Interchange in the Walthall Enterprise Zone.
